I've been teaching private guitar lessons in the Katy/Houston area since 2001. I teach all ages, from 8 years old to 60 years old. In addition to my private teaching, I conduct guitar classes for KISD's Community Education program. I've enjoyed teaching this class for the past six years. My teaching focuses on fundamental guitar technique and musicianship. Essentially, students learn basic theory, technique, and musical style. Lessons are applicable to all styles of music and focus on practical and achievable musical results. My ultimate goal is not only teaching students to play others' music, but teaching them the skills necessary to become their own musician. |
